The Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI), Delhi Branch, in collaboration with the National Apex Coordinating Centre, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, organised a webinar on “Tele MANAS – An Overview.”
Aim of the Webinar:
The Webinar session aimed to create awareness about the Tele MANAS initiative and its role in strengthening mental health services across the country.

Participants of the Webinar:
The webinar drew 167 participants, including 99 registered attendees and 68 spot participants, comprising staff nurses, academicians, and nursing students from various institutions across Delhi.


Webinar Session Highlights:
Dr. Rekha Anil Kumar, Vice President, TNAI Delhi Branch, moderated the session. Dr. V. Indumathy, Secretary, welcomed the gathering, setting the tone for the event. Dr. Radhakrishnan G, Additional Professor of Nursing at NIMHANS and President of ISPN, delivered the keynote address, emphasising the importance of accessible tele-mental health services. Mrs. Yangchen Dolma, President, TNAI Delhi Branch, presided over the session, appreciated the initiative, and invited the speakers. Mr. Tamilpulavendran V, Nursing Tutor, Tele MANAS, NIMHANS, delivered the main presentation, highlighting the need, objectives, functioning, and current status of the Tele MANAS program. Although Dr. C. Naveen Kumar, Professor & Head of the Community Psychiatry Unit, NIMHANS, could not join for unavoidable reasons, he extended his best wishes to all participants.

Discussion and Q/A Session:
Following the presentation, Dr. Balamurugan G, Assistant Professor of Nursing, NIMHANS, addressed participant queries and provided clarifications. The session was lively and interactive, with participants actively engaging in discussions and raising thoughtful questions, all of which were discussed and clarified by Dr Balamurugan.
Conclusion:
The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rekha Anil Kumar, who acknowledged the contributions of the organising team, speakers, and enthusiastic participants. The session received positive feedback and was well-appreciated for its relevance and clarity.
