The Delhi Branch State Level SNAI elections were held on 9th November 2024, from 9 am to 1 pm at S L Talwar Auditorium, Moolchand Hospital, New Delhi. The election event started with a prayer song by the students of Smt Janak Rani Talwar School of Nursing; Dr V Indumathy, Secretary of TNAI Delhi State Branch, delivered a Welcome address, which was followed by a Lamp Lighting ceremony by the dignitaries, Dr Gayatri Talwar, Director, Moolchand Hospital, Ms Bindu Verma, Principal, JRT School of Nursing, Mrs Annie Kumar, Vice President, North Region, Mrs Vatchala Dhinakaran, Assistant Secretary General, TNAI and Dr V. Indumathy, Secretary and all EC Members of the TNAI Delhi Branch. The dignitaries delivered the special keynote address to the student contestants.

 A total of 45 students from 9 colleges participated in the election, out of which 33 contestants were nominated for the post of Chairperson (7), Vice Person (7), Joint Secretary (7), SNAI Treasurer (6), and SNAI Program Chairperson (6). The student contestants were asked to address the audience, and each contestant was given 1 minute to express themselves. The secret ballot box system followed while conducting the elections. The faculty in charge from other than the nominated colleges and EC members of the TNAI Delhi Branch were called to count votes. The results were announced by Madam Mrs Annie Kumar, Vice President of North Region, TNAI & Returning Officer of State SNAI elections; the Winners were felicitated by Annie Madam, Mrs Vatchala Dhinakaran, Assistant Secretary-General, TNAI, Dr V. Indumathy, Secretary of the TNAI Delhi State Branch and Mrs Savita Devi, Joint Secretary of TNAI Delhi State Branch; Dr Daisy Thomas, Chairperson Education and Research Committee (Interim); Dr Sharwan Kumar Dhaka, Chairperson Public Health Nursing Section) and Mrs Santosh Singh, Chairperson of the Socio-economic Welfare Committee of TNAI Delhi Branch.

The Winners of the Delhi State SNAI Elections 2024 were;

1. SNAI Chairperson – Ms Agnus Joseph (Holy Family CON)
2. SNAI Vice Chairperson – Ms Diya (Holy Family CON)
3. SNAI Secretary – Vacant
4. SNAI Joint Secretary – Ms Rupanshi (Panna Dai CON)
5. SNAI Treasurer – Ms Srishti (Holy Family CON) and
6. SNAI Chairperson Programme – Ms Alina Jipson (Holy Family CON).

The newly elected SNAI office bearers and outgoing SNAI office bearers, Ms Chanchal, Student Secretary & Ms Ujala, Chairperson Program, were felicitated by the dignitaries and EC Members.  The Delhi State SNAI Election adjourned at 1 PM with a Vote of Thanks by Mrs Savita Devi, Joint Secretary, TNAI Delhi Branch and refreshments were served.
